Remembrance Day Centenary Concert
The Heathmont History Group invites everyone to this event, featuring the songs and music of the World War years.
Instrumental and vocal performers from Tintern Grammer & Sing Australia Heathmont, and lots of audience sing along.
Remembrance Day Sunday, 11 November, 2pm at Heathmont Uniting Church.
Cost:  $10 includes afternoon tea and lots of poppies.

World War 1
As the centenary continues, here is a session to appreciate the passion and skill of the famous war poet Wilfred Owen.  Written in his distinctive style almost exactly 100 years ago, his Futility and Anthem for Doomed Youth are powerful criticisms of a war in which over 16 million people died.
